Bloom Nepal School, located in Lalitpur, Nepal, is dedicated to providing its students with a comprehensive education that goes beyond the classroom. OTW has been supporting the school since its inception through direct investment and grant support enabling them to provide quality education based on a combination of classroom and experiential learning.
As part of this commitment, the school had organized a three-day educational tour for its grade 9 students, taking them on a journey to explore some of Nepal's most renowned cultural and natural heritage sites.
Day 1 and 2 of the tour was spent in Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha and one of the world's most important pilgrimage sites for Buddhists. This sacred site, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to numerous temples, monasteries, and museums dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Buddha. The students learned about the life and teachings of the Buddha, and visited the sacred temples and monasteries within the complex.
During Day 2 and 3, the group visited Chitwan National Park for a wildlife safari and learned about the park's conservation efforts. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to some of the world's most exotic wildlife, including the one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tigers, and Asian elephants. The students embarked on a wildlife safari, giving them the chance to observe these amazing creatures in their natural habitats, and learning about the park's conservation efforts and the importance of preserving this unique ecosystem. On Day 3, the students also visited Devghat, a religious and cultural center located in the far-western region of Nepal. This sacred site is considered one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in the country and is home to several Hindu and Buddhist temples, as well as a large community of ascetics and holy men.
Throughout the tour, students were accompanied by knowledgeable guides who provided them with insights into the cultural, historical, and natural significance of these sites. The tour also included interactive educational activities and discussions, allowing students to explore the topics in greater depth and ask questions.
