The first week of November was an eventful week for two NIIC 2 cohort companies, Eminence Ways and Kar.ma Coffee, as they were selected as finalists for the SIFEM's SEE Impact Award 2025 and were invited to Zurich to present their initiatives. The One to Watch team supported both companies throughout the application and preparation process, ensuring they were well-positioned to represent Nepal on an international platform.
At the Award ceremony in Zurich, Eminence Ways was announced as the winner in the Pioneer category, receiving an award of USD 50,000. The recognition highlighted the significance of the company’s ongoing efforts to develop cybersecurity talent in Nepal through its CyberReady Nepal initiative. The program addresses the country’s growing need for skilled professionals in a rapidly evolving digital environment.
Kar.ma Coffee also participated as a shortlisted finalist and delivered a strong presentation in Zurich, securing second place in the Catalyst category. The company’s model, which connects smallholder farmers, cafés, and artisans through fair sourcing and circular design, continues to gain international attention for its contribution to sustainable economic development.
The participation of two NIIC 2 cohort companies in the SEE Impact Award 2025 reflects the increasing visibility of Nepali enterprises in global forums. It demonstrates how targeted support and capacity-building can enable SMEs to engage effectively in international opportunities.
