From 24th to 25th November 2025, the NIIC 2 team travelled to Bharatpur for an engaging two-day field visit filled with partner meetings, factory visits, and an Open House event that brought together some of the region’s brightest entrepreneurs.

This visit marked an important step in strengthening NIIC 2’s ties with local stakeholders while highlighting the growing momentum of innovation in the Chitwan–Bharatpur region.

Meeting with Branch Managers – Global IME Bank

The NIIC 2 team met with Global IME Bank’s Branch Manager (Mr. Dipesh Shakya) and team, where discussions centered around how NIIC 2 supports SMEs, the long-term value of the program, and opportunities for deeper collaboration with the bank. The interaction reaffirmed our shared commitment to enabling local businesses to access better financing, technical support, and growth opportunities.

Field Visits to Cohort Companies

The team visited the production facility of Labiz and Bryan Garments in Ratnanagar, Chitwan, where they met with Mr. Bishnu Puri and his dedicated team. The discussion focused on identifying practical ways to integrate technology and e-commerce solutions into their operations, alongside upcoming marketing and promotional strategies.

Another key stop was the site visit to Smart Tech Agro, where the team interacted with workers and observed the company’s progress on the ground. These visits continue to help NIIC 2 ensure that the support being provided is relevant, impactful, and aligned with each company’s growth trajectory.

Open House Session: Bringing the Community Together

On 25th November, NIIC 2 hosted an Open House event attended by entrepreneurs from across the region, including active members of the NYEF Chitwan Chapter.
More than 30 companies participated, showcasing a strong interest in the NIIC 2 program and the broader startup ecosystem.

The session offered participants an opportunity to:

• Learn about NIIC 2’s offerings
• Understand eligibility and support mechanisms
• Network with peers, ecosystem stakeholders, and the NIIC team
• Share insights about challenges and opportunities in Chitwan’s business landscape

The event was lively, informative, and a meaningful step in expanding NIIC 2’s community footprint in the region.

The Bharatpur visit highlighted the enthusiasm and entrepreneurial energy present in the region. With strong bank partnerships, motivated cohort companies, and engaged local entrepreneurs, NIIC 2 is excited to continue supporting innovation and business growth across Nepal.
