One to Watch is pleased to announce the names of twenty businesses chosen to benefit from business development support through the BUILD project. The selected businesses are poised to receive an extensive tailored business development support from the program including opportunities to: implement tangible business solutions, tap into the expertise of seasoned professionals, and access robust networking opportunities with the local municipality.

The application form for the BUILD project was launched in June 2023, under the joint initiative of One to Watch and Suryabinayak Municipality. One to Watch also collaborated with business associations, cooperatives, as well as banking and financial institutions of Suryabinayak to invite applications from local businesses. The call for application formally concluded on the 15th of July, after which a meticulous scoring matrix and business assessments were employed to evaluate the applications.

Following multiple rounds of screening, the final 20 businesses were selected to receive business development support. The final businesses were officially enrolled into the program on August 15th, where the companies received recognition from the Suryabinayak Municipality’s leadership.

Supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the BUILD project is geared towards fostering local economic growth in Suryabinayak municipality by unlocking the untapped business potential of its small and medium enterprises. Through the delivery of business development support, the project additionally aims to strengthen the capacity of the local government for private sector engagement.
