For many technology companies, the greatest assets are not buildings or machinery - they are software, intellectual property, innovative products, and highly skilled teams. Yet access to finance remains one of the biggest barriers to growth, as traditional lending models often require physical assets as collateral, making it difficult for technology businesses to secure the capital they need to scale.
Through NIIC 2, in partnership with Global IME Bank, this financing gap is being addressed through a collateral-free, cash flow-based lending facility tailored to the needs of Nepal's technology sector. Rather than relying primarily on fixed assets, the facility assesses a company's business model, revenue generation, growth potential, and repayment capacity - allowing innovative businesses to access financing based on the strength of their operations.
One company benefiting from this approach is Inspiring Lab Pvt. Ltd., a Nepal-based technology company specialising in artificial intelligence (AI), enterprise software development, cloud solutions, API integration, web development, and digital transformation services. Since its establishment in 2014, the company has helped organisations improve productivity and streamline business operations through practical, technology-driven solutions.

The financing is enabling Inspiring Lab to accelerate the development of DailySync.ai, its AI-powered workplace management platform designed to help organisations manage everyday business operations through a single integrated system. The investment will support the addition of advanced modules, including Human Resources (HR), Finance, Document Management, IT workflow integration, employee profiles, workplace relationship management, and AI-powered voice assistance. Together, these features will create a comprehensive digital workplace platform that enables organisations to collaborate more effectively, automate routine processes, and improve operational efficiency.
The financing also supports the company's broader growth ambitions, including expanding its software development capabilities, strengthening its technical team, and establishing a Limited Liability Company (LLC) in the United Statesas part of its strategy to access international markets and serve a growing global client base.
Beyond financing, NIIC 2 is providing targeted Business Development Services (BDS) to strengthen the development of DailySync.ai. Through this technical assistance, NIIC 2 is supporting the design and development of several key modules that will enhance the platform's functionality and user experience, helping accelerate product development and positioning the company for long-term growth.
Inspiring Lab's journey highlights the importance of financing solutions that reflect the realities of the digital economy. By combining cash flow-based lending with hands-on technical assistance, NIIC 2 is helping innovative technology companies invest in product development, create high-value jobs, and compete in regional and international markets.
As Nepal's technology ecosystem continues to mature, financing models that recognise the value of innovation, recurring revenues, and intellectual capital—rather than only physical assets—will play an increasingly important role in enabling the country's next generation of high-growth technology companies.
NIIC 2 is supported by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC and implemented by One to Watch.
