WE Ignite Selects Six Women-Led Companies

Pearl Yadanar produces traditional preserved fruit snacks with locally sourced fruits. Unlike other preserved fruit snacks in the market, Pearl Yadanar’s products provide local consumers with healthier snack options as its fruit snacks does not include any additives or colouring.

Shwe Zee Kwet transforms waste to value by purchasing agri waste and leftover products from farmers and turning them into healthy and affordable juices for consumers of all ages. By sourcing waste from farmers, the company trains farmers on agri waste cultivation and increases famers’ income.

Coffee Win processes, distributes and retails quality arabica coffee products at accessible prices. The company also operates its own flagship coffee house and coffee counters, and franchises coffee carts with low startup costs primarily in upper and upper-middle Myanmar.

Yoké The aims to bring the authentic taste of Myanmar milk tea served by experienced baristas in local tea shops to be readily available and made at home. The company produces various flavors of Myanmar milk tea mix using  organic tea leaves sourced from northern Shan State.

Shwe Mann Paddy Seeds contract farms a variety of certified grade paddy seeds and supplies then to rice farmers and seed dealers in the Sagaing and Ayeyarwaddy region. The high-quality paddy seeds produced by Shwe Mann generates 20-40 more bushels of rice per acre compared to old generation seeds and increase farmers’ profit by €130 – 200 per acre.

The following companies and several other women led companies that are already receiving business development support from OTW will be receiving additional support services, workshops and linkages to address key gaps in their business model and determine growth strategies for their business. OTW and Bopinc will also conduct a gender-smart needs assessment with the selected entrepreneurs to better cater the program to the needs of women entrepreneurs.
